A Start

I begin this blog in hopes of beginning a conversation with whomever sees it. My convictings about the centrality of consumer culture have been slow in coming, yet they seem to become more firm with each passing day, ad, and book that I see. I intended to post new thoughts as they come and new resources as I find them. This blog is open to all and I invite anyone to share their thoughts on the matter. I also would love to know of more resources for understanding and withstanding the onslaught.

I don't have it all figured out, but there is no use waiting until I do. So here it is, a start.
