CJM Country Stables Series (Sam's Series):
Rodeo events are free to the public are held at the CJM Country Stables in Poipu. Just take a ride down to Poipu, pass the Hyatt and the Poipu Resort Golf Course, on to the bumpy dirt road and follow the signs to the stables. These rodeos start around 9:00 am and run to anywhere from 3-5 pm. A food booth is included. Click on Schedule for dates. CJM Country Stables is also the home of a four and five steer roping which are held in the latter parts of the year. CJM Country Stables is also the home of Kauai's only State sanctioned rodeo, the Koloa Plantation Days Rodeo. This rodeo sees competitors from all over the state. They compete in many different events including rough stock, which is bull riding and bronc riding. This is a fun two day event that gets going at 12:00 noon on Saturday July 21 and Sunday, July 22.
