This year saw the second intake of Undergraduates into the Industrial Division who are undertaking a work-based training year, and are known as 'sandwich' courses.
We welcome five 48-week placements from the University of Gloucestershire and one for a six-month internship from the E.M. Lyon School of Management (France).
Training periods form a direct extension of their academic studies, and both elements of the course are part of a continuous learning process.
During the placement students are expected to undertake tasks involving a certain level of responsibility, and to use their initiative. The experience builds communications and interpersonal skills and acts as a useful introduction to various working environments.
