This years Pack 13 dues will be $72.00 for Cub Scouts, and $48.00 for Tiger Scouts (including the $7.00 council rechartering fee). If you are interested in Boys Life, you will still need to pay for that separately ($9.00).
The $7.00 rechartering fee is a fee that must be paid to the Potawatomi Council to allow your son in Cub Scouts (Basically it is the "Boy Scouts of America" dues). Everybody involved in scouting (including leaders) must pay it. It is paid to the council in February and allows your scout to be registered until the next February. If you were in the Pack last year, you should be registered with the council until February of 2002. If your scout is new to Pack 13, you will need to pay a separate, pro-rated rechartering fee (to get him covered until February 2002). His dues will then cover the annual $7.00 fee (to cover him until February 2003).
Again, this year, there is a multiple scout discount. Dues for the second scout from the same family in the pack at the same time are 1/3 off ($48 for Cub Scouts, $32 for Tiger Scouts), the third scout is 2/3 off ($24 for Cub Scouts, $16 for Tiger Scouts), and the fourth scout would be free.
All Scouts (including Tiger Scouts) can "Pay" their dues through popcorn sales.
If you are participating in the popcorn sale, please see the "popcorn info" sheet (available at the September Pack meeting) to see when payment is due. If you are NOT participating in the popcorn sale, a check for your sons dues must be given to Mark Toby (691-4096) by October 25.
Here is a breakdown of the average costs associated with each Scout:
