Tiff Xchange is installed and acts as a Pseudo printer. The user simply selects the printer instead of their regular output printer and creates an Image file in the required format. This means you can create an image file from any document or file from any other Windows application. When creating an image file from your host application (i.e. MS Word, AutoCad etc.) Xchange initially creates a Tiff file and then using the optional Raster-XChange utility further converts this to an alternate final destination format -JPEG, WMF, PNG etc When converting from one imaging format to another you use one of the applications supplied to convert either single images or in Batches to the desired format.  |
